 细胞生物学是主要基础学科,是从细胞的显微、亚显微和分子三个水平对细胞的各种生命活动开展研究的学科。细胞生物学将细胞看作是生命活动的基本单位,在三个不同水平上把组成、结构和功能结合起来,以动态的观点来探索细胞的各种生命活动的具体反应过程。结合分子生物学、生物化学和医学遗传学等学科,通过对细胞生物学的深入研究,可以更加精确地了解生物体的生长、发育、分化、繁殖、运动、遗传、变异、衰老和死亡等基本生命现象。  细胞生物学是研究和揭示细胞结构、功能和生命活动规律的学科。课程内容主要涵盖:生物膜系统,包括细胞质膜与物质跨膜转运、能量转换细胞器与能量合成机制、内膜系统细胞器与蛋白质合成及分选;细胞骨架系统,包括微丝、微管、中间丝及其结合蛋白的结构与功能;遗传信息荷载系统,包括细胞核、染色体及核糖体的结构与功能;细胞重大生命活动及其调控机制,包括细胞增殖与癌细胞、细胞分化与干细胞、细胞衰老与死亡;细胞社会性的结构及生命活动的信号调控网络等。
